Beautiful forest lakes and vintage trains

We cycle from Holmely on small roads through the beautiful summer landscape that winds through forests and fields to Vrads.
In Vrads, the small grocery store is open and we can buy an ice cream or something to drink and have a chat with the locals or other tourists who have found this small village gem. Vrads is a small and very sociable town, the small shop is kept up by a joint effort from the town's citizens.

The Lonely Station

After a short rest, we cycle down to Vrads st. here we eat a nice lunch at the old station, which is full of history. The station has been called the most deserted station in Denmark. Today, the veteran train runs between the two stations during the summer half-year.

It is possible to take the veteran train to Bryrup, here you can sit and enjoy the bumpy ride through the forest with a view of a row of forest lakes.
From Vrads station, we cycle further down the gravel road to beautiful Snabe Igelsø, where there is an opportunity to swim.
The trip towards Bryrup runs through a completely unique landscape with beautiful lakes, such as Kul lake, Kvindsø and deep forests. From Bryrup, we can choose to take the nature trail or cycle along the gravel roads among more beautiful lakes and forests back to Holmely.
